Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, I am currently accepting new clients. Please fill out the consultation form, and we'll assess whether we are a good match for each other.
I have insurance, can I use it?
Unfortunately, we are considered out-of-network as we do not directly accept insurance. However, if you have insurance with out-of-network benefits, you can use those. You will be responsible for paying the session fee at the time of service, and then we will provide you with a superbill once a month for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to confirm your benefits.
Why are you self pay practice only, why not insurance?
We want to ensure that you are an informed consumer. When therapy sessions are covered by insurance, therapists are required to provide a mental health diagnosis. However, not all reasons for seeking therapy warrant a diagnosis. Having a diagnosis on your medical record could potentially have negative implications in the future, such as during a divorce, child custody battle, or for individuals with high-profile jobs that require security clearance.
Do you provide sliding scale?
Yes, we do offer sliding scale fees. However, please note that slots are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What happens if I no show for an appointment?
You will not be charged for a no-show appointment. However, if you miss three scheduled appointments without notice, you will be discharged from our practice and referred to alternative resources.
